Thailand Opens Its Market to Paraguayan Products
Paraguay is making significant strides in expanding its international trade reach, with Thailand now opening its market to Paraguayan products. This milestone follows a series of high-level meetings in Bangkok attended by Javier Viveros, Deputy Minister of the Investment and Export Network (Rediex), alongside Fleming Duarte, Paraguay’s non-resident ambassador to Thailand, and Paola Subeldia Blasco, trade attaché.
During their visit, the Paraguayan delegation held discussions with Kiengkrai Thiennukul, President of the Thai Federation Industries, and representatives of the Thai-Latin Business Council. These meetings focused on investment opportunities in key sectors, with an emphasis on bioeconomy, circular economy, and green industrialization, aligning with both countries’ commitment to sustainable development.
A primary goal of the mission was to connect Paraguay’s private sector with Thailand’s market through business matching strategies, fostering commercial partnerships and promoting new export opportunities. This initiative is expected to benefit sectors such as agribusiness, biotechnology, and sustainable production.
Thailand is a key player in Southeast Asia and a significant force in global trade. The country’s decision to allow Paraguayan products marks a crucial step in diversifying Paraguay’s export destinations, reinforcing its reputation as a reliable supplier in the region.
